The Sake cup is an essential utensil in Japanese dining culture. Originating in the Edo period (1603-1868), it was mainly used for sake, Japanese rice wine or soup of soba noodles at that time. Nowadays, is also used as a larger tea cup or coffee cup. All printed with traditional Japanese patterns: waves, arabesque, stripes and flowers.
