This Japanese style seat cushion is made of rushes harvested from the Meishan basin in Sichuan province where these plants flourish due to the hot, humid climate. It may still emit a pleasant grassy smell when new, however this will gradually fade with time. There are two pattern options to choose from: traditional fan or dragonfly.
