Teacup丨Jian Ware (S)
These teacups are made using the Jian Ware or Chien-yao technique, one of the five glazing styles developed in the Song Dynasty (960-1279). Due to the use of a special glaze on the surface, the minerals inside it cause different patterns to be formed during the firing process. Contemporary kilns have been able to artificially control the types of patterns, but there are still slight differences between individual pieces. These tea cups are available in a variety of styles and capacities.
This range of products is made by hand so shape, colour and patterns may vary. Available stock changes frequently, therefore these images are for illustrative purposes only. For the most updated options, please contact us by e-mail at info@yochastudio.se
