Green丨Qing Bing
From kr139.00Price
Shai Qing Lü Cha (晒青绿茶) means “sun-dried green tea.” This is a traditional Chinese tea-processing style, resulting in a more natural, less processed product of the tea leaf. This Shai Qing Lü Cha is then compressed into a tea cake - Qing Bing.
🌱 What makes it special?
- Sun-dried processing: Instead of being fully finished with drying under high heat, the leaves are dried naturally under the sun
- Minimal finishing: Retains more of the tea’s natural enzymes compared to typical green tea
🌱 Flavour profile
- Fresh yet rustic: More robust and less “grassy” than typical green tea
- Slight bitterness: Balanced with natural sweetness
- Subtle complexity: Can show hints of fruit, hay, or light floral notes
🌱 Unique character
Unlike standard green teas (which are meant to be drunk fresh), Shai Qing Lü Cha has some ageing potential.
🌱 How is it prepared?
Brewed with moderate to hot water
- Can be drunk as a green tea or aged and processed further
- Often appreciated by those who enjoy more natural, less refined tea styles
Recommended water temperature 90°C
